MUSCAT: The State Council Legal Committee on Monday held its 5th meeting of the second annual sitting of the sixth term under the chairmanship of Abdul Qadir bin Salim bin Abdullah al Dhahab, Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
The committee reviewed the incoming letter from the State Council Office about revising some laws that have been issued before the promulgation of the Basic Law of the State and remained without any change. It also reviewed the proposal of the Legal Committee for studying the litigation procedures before the courts and impediments for judgments execution.
The committee also discussed the proposal presented by one of the State Council members on the Royal Decree No 6/89 about regularising the relationship between landlords and tenants of the commercial and industrial shops. It also discussed the items listed on the agenda and took appropriate decisions in this regard. — ONA
